Wyoming County Commision
Randall Aliff
Jason E. Mullins
Samuel Muscari, Sr.
The County Commission's Key responsibilities include:
-
Oversight of county tax dollars. State law requires County Commissioner's to establish an annual budget and to set the annual levy rate for property taxes.
-
Providing and maintaining a suitable court-house at the county seat.
-
Funding the offices of elected officials.
-
Appointing members to various local boards, authorities, and public service districts. Commissioners often find themselves serving on many of these bodies, in fullfilling their commitment to represent your interests.
-
Supporting Community Services.
-
Lobbying for more state funding of local programs.
-
Hearing concerns about individual property values so taxpayers can appeal their property tax value to the County Commission.
-
Supervising the election process and certifying election results.
-
Responding to your questions and concerns. County Commissioners are the "front line" of local government. They can help solve problems and give useful advise to local residents.
The County Commission meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 9:30a.m. in the County Commission Meeting Room at the Riverside Complex. Anyone is welcome to attend. If you have something you would like to have on the agenda you must make an appointment by 3:30 Friday afternoon.
