The Circuit Clerk's Office is the record keeper for the Circuit Judge and Family Court Judges. Our office maintains all the records for these three Judges by processing all documents pertaining to issues in their courts including all orders signed by our Judges.

All of the following types of cases are found in our office: Civil Suits, including Personal Injury, Product Liability, Collection of Debts; Domestic, including Divorces, Paternity, Child Support, Custody, Domestic Violence; Criminal Cases including cases bound over from Magistrate Court to be presented to the Grand Jury and Felony and Misdemeanor charges indicted by the Grand Jury; Appeals from Magistrate Court including Civil and Criminal; Guardianship cases including both Adults and Infants; Juvenile cases including Juvenile Abuse, Delinquency and Status cases; Applications for Involuntary Mental Hygiene proceedings.

We attempt collection of Court ordered Judgments for the prevailing party by issuing Abstracts of Judgments to be recorded as Liens against property, Writ of Executions against personal property, Suggestee Executions (garnishment of wages) and Suggestions of Personal Property (usually bank accounts).

Our office is responsible for preparing court records for Appeals to the WV Supreme Court and numerous State mandated monthly reports.

We are responsible for providing both the Grand Jurors and Petit Jurors for both Magistrate and Circuit Courts. We conduct the registration for mandated Parenting Education Classes for Family Court Cases.

You can obtain Pro Se Divorce Forms, as well as Support, Custody, Contempt and Modification forms from our office to proceed in court without a lawyer.
